Tuesday Bullets

There is so much “new” news, today’s bullets are going to concentrate on just the ironies of the current “Swamp” activities:

  • Not so surprisingly, Special Counsel Robert Mueller — so careful to control leaks of his investigation — allowed the pending indictments to be leaked to the Press on Friday, fueling the Leftist feeding frenzy over the weekend. Oh, the leaking of Grand Jury information is a felony;
  • In these investigations, prosecutors feeding those anxious for details always release the biggest, baddest actions they will take first so as to make the most noise. That probably means the Manaforte charges signify there’s nothing worse pending;
  • “Russia, Russia, Russia!” Color me wrong, but isn’t the Mueller investigation to unearth Trump associates’ collusion with Putin et al to influence the 2016 election for Trump? The Manaforte charges are all for his actions long before he ever became a Trump Campainer;
  • It probably is not happenstance that those pending indictments were leaked when they were and in the manner they were when it appeared a Special Investigator (or maybe “Special Prosecutor”) may be appointed to begin investigations into the DNC/Clinton Campaigns for Russian collusion that MAY implement Mueller’s potential illegal actions when he served as FBI Director along with James Comey, former Attorneys General Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch;
  • Flatirons Books is wishing they had not given Comey that fat publishing advance for his to-be-released-next-Spring blockbuster. It is not titled yet, but it is reportedly about “ethics, leadership and his experience in government.” No doubt it’s a fiction novel!
  • Surprisingly, NO ONE with the DNC, the Clinton Campaign, Hillary herself, nor any other human has any idea who wrote an $8+ million check to pay for the Opposition Research that resulted in the now infamous Fusion GPS Trump dossier. They each have taken a line from the television series Hogans Heroes. Remember Sgt. Shultz: “I know nothing….I know nothing!”
  • “Rocket Man,” not to be outdone in World news reports states that North Korea will shortly be a player in space exploration; (not sure why I inserted this, but it seems appropriate for it to follow the previous bullet point)
  • The Mueller indictments in their details in no way connected anything or anyone from the indictments with President Trump, his Campaign, or any members of his Campaign other than Manaforte. And the Manaforte charges were for actions as far back as 2006 and none from during his stint heading the Trump Campaign;
  • Lost in the Manaforte indictments was revelation of a company (termed “Company A” in the indictment) who lobbied on behalf of the Ukranian government illegally. That company is the Podesta Group, headed by the brother of Hillary Clinton’s Campaign John Podesta. Tony Podesta, who founded the left-leaning Podesta Group in 1988, stepped down from his position with the firm on Monday morning. More on that to come;
  • Daily more news regarding the DNC/Clinton campaign Russian collusion is surfacing. Fox News’ Chris Wallace — not very friendly with President Trump — had this to say Sunday: “This is far more evidence than we’ve ever seen involving President Trump and his campaign that the Democrats were directly involved in trying to get information from the Russians to affect the 2016 campaign,” Wallace said;
  • More and more it becomes clear that Mueller is grasping at straws that don’t exist: in one year of investigations there was apparently no Trump Russian collusion. One legal expert stated it this way: “To put it plainly, Mueller is tasked with finding a crime that does not exist in the law. It is a legal impossibility. He is being asked to do something that is manifestly unattainable.” Without collusion — which in itself is NOT illegal if it happened at all — some law would have to be created to formulate a basis for Trump wrongdoing;
  • A report by The Federalist on Sunday alleges that former President Obama’s official campaign organization directed nearly one million dollars to Perkins Cole – the same law firm that sent money to Fusion GPS for the research leading to the now-infamous dossier;
  • California Congressman Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA) reported today he has been trying to get House Intelligence investigations into the Clinton Campaign’s Russian ties for months with no success. He is confident information included in the Manaforte indictments will prompt those investigations to begin;
  • Attorney Alan Dershowitz — no friend to Republicans — stated today’s Mueller indictments show the power given to a Special Counsel is too far reaching and endangers all Americans against Constitutional freedoms. Dershowitz stated that Mueller has unfettered investigative authority and money to investigate whoever and whatever he deems fit. He quipped that Bill Clinton did not even meet Monica Lewinsky until 18 months after the appointment of the Whitewater Special Prosecutor;

Summary

The bullets coming out of D.C. are being fired no longer daily but hourly. These today are just a snapshot of the ridiculous political folly Americans are witnessing every day. Washington D.C. is a joke. All of the political correctness and Leftist rhetoric spewed daily illustrate just how deep and wide and evil the D.C. Swamp really is. It was inevitable for the political evil routinely birthed in D.C. to leak into the streams and rivers flowing throughout America. The hatemongers on the Left will stop at nothing when it comes to their continued efforts to at all costs discredit this President and all who support him. One of those rivers flows into Virginia and has initiated a nasty gubernatorial race that is so corrupt on the Left there is no lower one could go in a political race. Watch this ad and you’ll see what I mean:

https://youtu.be/wVckRJvuBQY

Remember 2012 and the Obama campaign ad showing VP Candidate Paul Ryan pushing Grandma in her wheelchair off a cliff, illustrating Democrats claims that Mitt Romney and Ryan wanted to take Medicare and Social Security away from American seniors — a lie with absolutely no basis other than political lies and attacks.

I think this ad against GOP Virginia candidate takes over as the vilest political ad in history.

I truly am nauseated.

Unanswered Questions that Must be Answered

There are almost too many to detail. Let’s try these 20:

  1. “Hillary: how is it possible that the campaign of the most experienced politician in the U.S. who though not President is really the ‘Fund Raiser in Chief’ could pay $8 million or more to a law firm to fund Opposition Research without your knowledge? AND, no one else in your campaign remembers who wrote the check?”
  2. “Mr. Mueller: the Special Investigator statute specifically lists conditions that comprise what disqualifies someone from serving as a Special Investigator under that law. The primary disqualifier is ‘Conflict of Interest.’ How could you agree to assume the Special Investigator role when your key witness in the case you would be using worked for you in the FBI, you recommended him to Obama to be your replacement when you left the FBI, and you consulted with him before your appointment as Special Investigator, coaching him on what he should and should not use in his testimony before Congress? Are those things not defined in the statute as ‘Conflict of Interest?'”
  3. “Attorney General Sessions: knowing how much Clinton corruption there was and that Justice Department investigations of those were absolutely necessary, why if you were planning to recuse yourself from such important investigations did you even agree to serve as Attorney General?”
  4. “Attorney General Sessions: why did you recuse yourself from managing any investigation of the Clintons, the Clinton Foundation, former A.G. Loretta Lynch, and James Comey? Did you not know that as Attorney General the acts of these people that you already knew of rose to the level of federal investigation?”
  5. “Attorney General Sessions: why did you allow Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to make the Special Investigator appointment of Robert Mueller when you knew of Mueller’s conflicts?”
  6. “Attorney General Sessions: there are those who maintain you did NOT recuse yourself from leading investigations into former members of the Obama Administration — namely former Attorneys General Lynch and Eric Holder. If that is so, why has the Justice Department not initiated such investigations?”
  7. “Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi: do you really believe that your cries (without giving evidence) against the proposed tax cuts claiming they will actually increase taxes on the middle class will result in Americans supporting your assertions and lobby against the tax cuts? Do you really think Americans are so stupid that they do not understand what you both are all about and that Truth is not part of it?”
  8. “Mainstream Media: do you not understand most Americans have seen your anti-Trump reporting long enough to not believe anything you report at all?”
  9. “Debbie Wasserman Shultz: do you know what size prison uniform you will need?”
  10. “Barack Obama: do you still feel you are smarter than every other American and that you know more about what Americans need than Americans know?”
  11. “Mr. Obama: do you understand yet that Russian President Vladimir Putin is way smarter than you are?”
  12. “Sir: do you really know what you are supposed to do when someone crosses your redline and that doing nothing at all is not the right answer?”
  13. “Mr. Former President: do you also still think the 80’s are asking for their foreign policy back?”
  14. “NFL Commissioner Goodell: did you learn how to hack off conservative Americans in the same class as did Hillary Clinton?”
  15. “Mr. Commissioner: do you not yet get that plummeting tv ratings and game attendance really IS because of the player disrespect for the National Anthem and Old Glory, regardless of the constant denial from your office?”
  16. “NFL Players: do you understand yet that Americans generally don’t care about your cause for the disrespect of the Flag and the National Anthem — they can’t get past that you make millions playing a game that most would pay to play?”
  17. “NFL Owners, Players, and League Office: Do you get yet that Americans really ARE turning away from the game because of your spineless cave-in to players simply because of your fear of lost revenue if they walk out and refuse to play?”
  18. “Members of Congress: have you not figured out yet that your tanked approval ratings are ONLY because of your not fulfilling promises you made to voters during your campaigns?”
  19. “Media Leftists: do you not understand yet that collusion with Russians is not a crime even if there was election collusion with the Russians?”
  20. “Late Night TV Hosts: do you know Americans watch your shows to laugh a bit and certainly have no interest in hearing your Leftist political jabs at the President and other conservatives? Do you not know Deplorables stay up for your monologues too?

I could go on and on with many more obvious questions to those mired in the mud of the Swamp. But why waste our time. We know no matter what we Americans that don’t live on the west or east coasts think, Coastal Leftists couldn’t care less about what we feel or think because they know full well that they are smarter and more in touch with what is right for the Nation than we. It has become so ridiculous retaliating against the drive by shooters that it simply is not worth the time. They don’t listen to anyone but other Lefties anyway.

I have tired of the constant tirade against mainstream Americans that is showcased daily on CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, NBC, the Washington Post and NY Times. I knew my exhaustion at their incessant drivel had peaked when I actually screamed at my television the other day which was tuned to CNN, “Chris Cuomo, be quiet and go lay down by your bowl!”

Unfortunately he did not listen.

“Tear Down That ……….!”

Tear down what? Heck, I don’t know: statue, monument, building, ornament, whatever.

Elitist political correctness has gone amuck. It is now approaching comical at the daily cries for changing names, doing away with memorials, tearing down statues and removing monuments — all which represent a page in U.S. history. It has become the “Insensitivity of the Day.” (Maybe I should create a blog feature with that title!)

  • Lexington, Kentucky will relocate the statues of John Hunt Morgan and John C. Brackenridge after the City Council unanimously approved their removal;
  • Manatee County Florida commissioners approved a resolution to temporarily move a Confederate memorial from its spot in Bradenton;
  • Hillsborough County Board of Commissioners (in Florida) voted to remove the Memoria In Aeterna monument, which honors Confederate soldiers, from a county courthouse;
  • Busts of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee and Lt. Gen. Stonewall Jackson will be removed from the City University of New York’s Hall of Fame for Great Americans;
  • The Charlottesville, Virginia City Council voted to remove a statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee at the newly renamed Emancipation Park;
  • Madison, Wisconsin Mayor Paul Soglin announced that two Confederate memorials at the Forest Hill Cemetery will be removed.

The cries for removal of the above stem from the sudden wrath in the nation against monuments and/or statues having to do with the Confederacy, the Civil War, or those who were involved in those or those who owned slaves. Granted slavery is probably the biggest blot against humanity in World history, slavery’s existence cannot be erased from history, even though the PC Police are doing their best to make that happen.

Names

This rampant elitist purification purge does not stop at statues and monuments. It has for the last decade or so crept into the names of sports teams and facilities. Professional teams like the Washington Redskins, Kansas City Chiefs, Cleveland Indians and others have for decades born the monikors representing Native Indians. The Politically Correct claim that doing so is demeaning and actually racist. The Redskins team owner Dan Snyder has had intense conversations with Native American tribal chiefs of several tribes who have agreed that bearing that name is considered in their tribes to be an honor and not an insult.

Colleges and universities have been caught up in this political correctness as well. The Arkansas State University Indians had to change their name. Ole Miss is no longer “The Rebels.” The Indians of Northeast Louisiana University have been replaced by the “WarHawks.”

There are several dangers that these actions are causing. The most obvious is specifically with monument and statue removal: those each represent a page in U.S. history that tell the stories of people and events that really existed and happened and obviously were involved in historical actions that impacted and changed American history for eternity. There is no logic to their removal. Certainly some represent times of slavery and oppression. But those represent as well a “New” America that was birthed with the Civil War in which more than 500,000 Americans gave their lives fighting for the freedom of slaves. It makes no sense to me to try to wipe out that history even as dark as it was.

The biggest problem with this latest “trend” is who gets to decide which of everything in American is OK and which must be eliminated? What troubles one always champions another. If we continue down that rabbit trail it will get pretty dangerous to live in the U.S. Let’s try that rabbit trail to illustrate.

Indignation

Let’s face it: people are getting their feelings hurt pretty regularly now by things that they see or hear. “Righteous” indignation (as defined by whomever) seems to be the measure used to determine what is and what is not OK. I listed some above that are pretty much understandable though thought to be ridiculous by many. But this can — and probably will — get more ridiculous over the next period of time.

Take for instance our Nation’s Capitol: Washington, D.C. We all know who it was named for: George Washington — U.S. President #1. But more importantly, the “Slaveowner in Chief.” That’s right: Washington owned hundreds of slaves. Rename the city? What about that bastion of journalism The Washington Post? They are quick to say their name was taken from their city, not the first President. But the city was named after the President. Washington was not just a slave owner, he was a tobacco farmer! How much more indignation does that create among Elitists? Oh, and there are hundreds more towns, cities, parks, and streets named Washington. And then there’s “Washington and Lee University.” How terrible is that name: double hate speech. Robert E. Lee actually headed the Confederate army that fought to keep slavery.

Since the city name should be changed, what possible name could be used that would both represent the U.S. center of federal government and NOT be politically insensitive? What about “Roosevelt?” We had two presidents that bore than name and neither farmed tobacco or owned slaves. Uh Oh…..Franklin Roosevelt interred 117,000 Japanese people living in the U.S., two-thirds of who were American born citizens.

Here’s another that should get Leftist hackles up but so far I’ve not heard any screaming: Oklahoma. The state name is derived from two Choctaw words: “Okla” and “homa.” “Okla” means “red,” and “homa” means “people,” or “Red People.” I am personally indignant at that name. Why? If it is unbearable and insensitive to have a football team named the “Redskins,” why is not intolerable to have a state named “Red People?”

What about the guy who wrote most of the documents that established the United States, Thomas Jefferson? You guessed it: a slave owner. Do we tear down that wonderful memorial in D.C. built in his honor? What do we do about Jacksonville, Florida and Jackson, Mississippi and many other places named after Andrew Jackson? All must be renamed to something else who the politically correct elitists determine are politically correct.

What about the “Saints?” Hmmm….. St. Louis, San Diego, St. Petersburg, San Antonio, and Corpus Christi, too. Elitists love the idea that prayer in public schools and public meetings has been ruled unconstitutional by many courts as violations of the separation of Church and State. Where’s the outrage for the aforementioned cities that are named for religious figures? (Don’t forget Nancy Pelosi’s beloved San Francisco) All those cities must be renamed. Why not use names that are so non-offensive they are used to name cars: Acura, Elantra, Sentra, etc.? Makes sense to me.

Let’s take it one step farther: States. The Massachusetts state seal contains a Native American holding a bow and arrow. Elitists certainly understand that using this representation of Native Americans as violent flies in the face of political correctness.

But it gets worse: Minnesota’s state seal depicts a pioneer tilling a field while a Native American rides away on a horse and is carrying a spear. The seal bears multiple racial slurs: the spear is a weapon, (God forbid) and represents Native Americans as violent people. The Native American is riding away from a field being worked, which stereotypes Native Americans as being lazy and avoiding work. But that’s not all: it demonstrates a racial comparison impressing that the farmer is white, and only white Americans work. How racist! Obviously the seal bears multiple examples of White superiority. How ridiculous is that? In ten straight national elections, Minnesotans voted Democratic.

Summary

Where does it stop? Who decides what is and what is not acceptable? What if a national leader like a President determines that all people of color are unacceptable and should be removed? What if bald people are determined to be politically incorrect and therefore must be removed? I was not alive but I remember a time and a nation that felt pretty much that anyone who was not white, blonde, and had blue eyes was inferior and a blight to humanity. That resulted in 6 million that did not bear those traits being executed. Hitler illustrated just how dangerous this philosophy can get.

Whatever happened to the cries from the Left to embrace differences and to tolerate and even champion those differences? Do people really not see how far this nation has come since the Pilgrims and how much more freedom and liberty there is today? Certainly we in American have not “arrived.” But we are far down the road toward getting acceptance for all differences among people in place.

That will NOT happen as long as the “PC Police” have power.

Biker Bars & Old Golfers

Let’s take a break from “serious” and snicker today!

I ride Harleys. In fact I have piled up the miles. From my earring from Montreal to riding Pacific Coast Hwy from San Francisco to Santa Barbara, I have ridden all over North America. I play golf, too. And I’m an “old golfer.” Today, let’s laugh together at two funnies: a Blind Cowboy in a Blonde Biker Bar and an Old Golfer.

Enjoy!

Blind Cowboy in an All-Girl Biker Bar

An old blind cowboy wanders into an all-girl biker bar by mistake…
He finds his way to a bar stool and orders a shot of Jack Daniels.
After sitting there for a while, he yells to the bartender, “Hey, you wanna hear a blonde joke?”
In a very deep, husky voice, the woman next to him says, “Before you tell that joke, cowboy, I think it’s only fair, given that you are blind, that you should know five things:
1. The bartender is a blonde girl with a baseball bat.
2. The bouncer is a blonde girl with a ‘Billy-Club’.
3. I’m a 6-foot tall, 175-pound blonde woman with a black belt in karate.
4. The woman sitting next to me is blonde and a professional weight lifter.
5. The lady to your right is blonde and a professional wrestler.

“Now, think about it seriously, cowboy…Do you still want to tell that blonde joke?”
The blind cowboy thinks for a second, shakes his head and mutters, “No…not if I’m going to have to explain it five times…”

The Old Golfer

An older golfer was chipping his ball from near a water hazard and his club fell into the water. When he cried out, the Lord appeared and asked, “Why are you crying?”

The golfer replied that his club had fallen into water, and he needed the club to win the tournament to supplement his meager pension. The Lord went down into the water and reappeared with a golden club.

“Is this your club?” the Lord asked. The golfer replied, “No.” The Lord again went down and came up with a silver club. “Is this your club?” the Lord asked.  Again, the golfer replied, “No.” The Lord went down again and came up with an iron  club. “Is this your club?” the Lord asked. The golfer replied, “Yes.”
The Lord was pleased with the golfer’s honesty and gave him all three clubs to keep, and the golfer went home happy.

Sometime later the golfer was walking with his wife along the water hazard, and she fell into the river. When he cried out, the Lord again appeared and asked him, “Why are you crying?” “Oh Lord, my woman has fallen into the water!” The Lord went down into the water and came up with Kate Upton. “Is this your woman?” the Lord asked. “Yes,” cried the golfer. The Lord was furious. “You lied! That is an untruth!” The golfer replied, “Oh, forgive me Lord. It is a misunderstanding.  You see, if I had said ‘no’ to Kate Upton, You would have come up with Jennifer Anniston. Then if I said ‘no’ to her, you would have come up with my woman. Had I then said ‘yes,’ you would have given me all three. And Lord, I am an old man not able to take care of all three women in a way that they deserve, that’s why I said yes to Kate Upton.”

And God was pleased.

The moral of this story is:  If a golfer ever tells a lie, it is for a good and honorable reason, and only out of consideration for others!

An Immigrant on Immigration: Who Better?

I’m blessed to be an American born and raised — but not everyone can say that.

In the noise of Obamacare repeal/replace, “Russia Gate,” and tax reform, Immigration Reform and the Wall on our southern border have been pushed back a ways on the priority shelf. But they are still there.

It is impossible for me or any other U.S. native son or daughter to relate to how it feels to be an immigrant — stranger in a foreign country. Even if illegal and even if remaining in the U.S. for a long time, it must still feel strange to not be a citizen in the country in which you live. I have empathy for those, but not because I can feel what they feel. It’s because I feel sorry for that inevitable nagging feeling of not being at home that certainly for them is always the 900 pound gorilla in the room. Add to that the uncertainty of their permanent status and the possibility of deportation must make them at times feel miserable, rejected, and even betrayed by those who brought them here. I think it’s time for that uncertainty to end.

How should It be ended? Please know my suggestions are just that: suggestions. I think they can work if implemented. And I think if done they can eliminate the anger against immigrants while offering immigrants a safe, promising, and legal life. Let’s go. No, not with an executive order. Let’s revise the legalization process.

“Dreamers” were brought here very young by illegal adults. I’ve asked why while growing up here Dreamers did not enter the legal system to become citizens. I discovered that to do that, they first would be required to self deport, then to apply for legal access to the U.S. to begin the arduous process for citizenship.

There IS a process. But why cannot Congress adjust immigration laws, not to give illegals instant citizenship, but to require illegals to register, enter the same immigration process that exists now, but a process with specific timing requirements ? Why not eliminate with registration the requirement to self deport and leave the country while the legal immigration process within the specified time period is fulfilled? I think it would work.

There are millions in the nation who have emigrated the right way. It wasn’t ever easy and it was difficult. But it was worth it. How do I know that? Read on.

The town of Prescott Valley, AZ, hosted a Freedom Rally a while back. Quang Nguyen was asked to speak on his experience of coming to America and what it means. He spoke the following in dedication to all Vietnam Veterans. What he had to say sums up what being a legal immigrant is.

 “35 years ago, if you were to tell me that I am going to stand up here speaking to a couple thousand patriots, in English, I’d laugh at you. Man, every morning I wake up thanking God for putting me and my family in the greatest country on earth.  I just want you all to know that the American dream does exist and I am living the American dream. I was asked to speak to you  about my experience as a first generation Vietnamese-American, but I’d  rather speak to you as an American. If you hadn’t noticed, I am not white and I feel pretty comfortable with my people. I am a proud U.S. citizen and here is my proof. It took me 8 years to get it, waiting in endless lines, but I got it, and I am very proud of it.

 I still remember the images of the Tet offensive in 1968, I was six years old. Now you might want to question how a 6-year-old boy could remember anything.  Trust me, those images can never be erased.  I can’t even imagine what it was like for young American soldiers, 10,000 miles away from home, fighting on my behalf. 35 years ago, I left South Vietnam for political asylum. The war had ended.  At the age of 13, I left with the understanding that I may or may not ever get to see my siblings or parents again.  I was one of the first lucky 100,000 Vietnamese allowed to come to the U.S. Somehow, my family and I were reunited 5 months later, amazingly, in California. It was a miracle from God.

If you haven’t heard lately that this is the greatest country on earth, I am telling you that right now.  It was the freedom and the opportunities presented to me that put me here with all of you tonight.  I also remember the barriers that I had to overcome every step of the way. My high school counselor told me that I cannot make it to college due to my poor communication skills. I proved him wrong.  I finished college. You see, all you have to do is to give this little boy an opportunity and encourage him to take and run with it.  Well, I took the opportunity and here I am. This person standing tonight in front of you could not exist under a socialist/communist environment. By the way, if you think socialism is the way to go, I am sure many people here will chip in to get you a one-way ticket out of here. And if you didn’t know, the only difference between socialism and communism is an AK-47 aimed at your head. That was my experience. In 1982, I stood with a thousand new immigrants, reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and listening to the National Anthem for the first time as an American. To this day, I can’t remember anything sweeter and more patriotic than that moment in my life.

 Fast forwarding, somehow I finished high school, finished college, and like any other goofball 21 year old kid, I was having a great time with my life. I had a nice job and a nice apartment in Southern California. In some way and somehow, I had forgotten how I got here and why I was here. One day I was at a gas station, I saw a veteran pumping gas on the other side of the island. I don’t know what made me do it, but I walked over and asked if he had served in Vietnam. He smiled and said yes. I shook and held his hand. This grown man’s eyes began to well up.  I walked away as fast as I could and at that very moment, I was emotionally rocked. This was a profound moment in my life. I knew something had to change in my life. It was time for me to learn how to be a good citizen. It was time for me to give back.

 You see, America is not just a place on the map, it isn’t just a physical location. It is an ideal, a concept. And if you are an American, you must understand the concept, you must accept this concept, and most importantly, you have to fight and defend this concept. This is about Freedom and not free stuff. And that is why I am standing up here. Brothers and sisters, to be a real American, the very least you must do is to learn English and understand it well. In my humble  opinion, you cannot be a faithful patriotic citizen if you can’t speak the language of the country you live in. Take this document of 46 pages – last I looked on the Internet, there wasn’t a Vietnamese translation of the U.S. Constitution. It took me a long time to get to the point of being able to converse and until this day, I still struggle to come up with the right words. It’s not easy, but if it’s too easy, it’s not worth doing. Before I knew this 46-page document — the U.S. Constitution — I learned of the 500,000 Americans who fought for this little boy. I learned of the 58,000 names inscribed on the black wall at the Vietnam Memorial. You are my heroes. You are my founders.”

 Summary

          Quang Nguyen

 Yes, immigrants should each come here and be here legally, or they should leave. Those here should be given an opportunity to enter the same process for immigration that those did who came legally. That is NOT the same as blanket legalization. “If” they register to enter this legal system, they would be of record and could be treated by law enforcement and government the same way American citizens are. If they refuse to enter this legalization system, they should be deported. And as long as they go through the immigration process just as those from other countries do, they should be allowed to remain. But, if they fall out of that system, they should be treated as illegals and should be deported.

We ARE a nation of laws. We HAVE immigration laws. Those immigration laws MUST be enforced. Congress can change them under the Constitution and are the only ones who can do so. Until/unless they are changed, law enforcement should enforce all laws according to their provisions without exception. Quang Nguyen and millions of others have done it the right way. Every other immigrant owes America to emigrate the right way, too.

Power of the Presidential Tweet

Many love President Trump’s tweets — many hate them. Scott Adams is the creator of the comic strip “Dilbert,” and has a remarkable understanding of the power of the process of communications President Trump is using in his tweets. It impacted me so greatly I felt it would you too.

“As a trained hypnotist and a lifelong student of persuasion, I’m often impressed by how much “work” President Trump gets out of his tweets. Most of them are harmless retweets about whatever is going right, and they tend to be forgettable. The good ones are something entirely different, and many are gems of persuasion.

Consider this one: “With Jemele Hill at the mike, it is no wonder ESPN ratings have ‘tanked,’ in fact, tanked so badly it is the talk of the industry!”

When Mr. Trump smack-tweets a notable public critic—Ms. Hill has called the president a “white supremacist”—it violates our expectations of his office. That’s what makes it both entertaining and memorable. He often injects into his tweets what memory expert Carmen Simon calls a “little bit of wrongness” to make it hard to look away. If the wrongness alarms you, consider that for years he has adroitly operated within a narrow range of useful wrongness on Twitter without going too far. That suggests technique. In the Twitter environment, strategic wrongness is jet fuel.

Watch for Mr. Trump’s tweets to make you think past the sale, a well-known technique of persuasion. In the Jemele Hill tweet, he makes you wonder if ESPN’s ratings really are the “talk of the industry.” And in order even to consider that question, you must imagine a world in which the primary claim—that Ms. Hill is bad for the network—is true. Even if it isn’t.

Here’s another example in which the president makes you think past the sale: “People are just now starting to find out how dishonest and disgusting (FakeNews) @NBCNews is. Viewers beware. May be worse than even @CNN!” If you find yourself wondering which is worse, NBC or CNN, you are thinking past the sale that both are bad.

Here’s another. Spot the part that is past the sale: “Art Laffer just said that he doesn’t know how a Democrat could vote against the big tax cut/reform bill and live with themselves!”

When Candidate Trump said he would make Mexico pay for the wall, he was making us think past the sale. If you’re thinking about who is paying for the wall, you’ve already imagined the wall existing. And that makes it easier to convince you it should exist.

I also see the president as employing a modern version of humor. When he goes after one of his high-profile critics, his supporters laugh and reach for the popcorn. This is gonna be good! Voters who preferred Hillary Clinton are not laughing, of course. But they aren’t the audience for his tweet humor. And that makes it even funnier for his supporters. His base is in on the joke, whereas his detractors don’t even know humor is happening.

In the 1940s, humor was mostly about corny jokes with punch lines, and loads of slapstick. By the ’70s, humor evolved to be whatever the public found most inappropriate and shocking. Half the fun of watching “Saturday Night Live” in those days was waiting for the naughty parts. By the late ’90s, humor evolved into more of a reality-focused art. When you watch your favorite reality TV show, you’re probably laughing. When you read comics, you laugh hardest at the ones that speak to your personal experience.

Reality and humor have effectively merged. President Trump came to us through the reality TV world, and apparently he has a good grasp of modern humor. His critics will wince at my suggestion that his tweets are intentionally humorous, or even funny. But ask one of his followers about them. Notice the reflexive smile when you bring up the topic. They see it as weaponized humor. Likewise, they recognize Mr. Trump’s sticky nicknames, such as “Low Energy Jeb” and “Rocket Man,” as both intentionally humorous and effective.

Humor is an extraordinary tool of persuasion. Things that are funny are easier to remember, and humor creates a bond with anyone who shares the laugh. In my opinion as a professional humorist, Donald Trump is the funniest president in the history of the republic. Perhaps Abe Lincoln was second.

Again, there are no jokes of the old-fashioned punch-line variety in the president’s tweets. The humor comes from our shared reality, their inappropriateness and—for his supporters—the fun of watching their shared critics take pies in their faces.

Mr. Trump also has a knack for getting into his critics’ heads. Consider this tweet: “Why is the NFL getting massive tax breaks while at the same time disrespecting our Anthem, Flag and Country? Change tax law!” The odds of a tax law change targeted at the NFL are low. But are they zero? Once that risk is in your head, you reflexively treat it as real even if your rational brain says it isn’t.

See a similar technique in the next tweet: “Network news has become so partisan, distorted and fake that licenses must be challenged and, if appropriate, revoked. Not fair to public!” It is deeply unlikely any major network will lose its station licenses, but now the idea is in their heads. Everything I know about persuasion tells me it will nudge the networks toward friendlier coverage out of self-preservation.

If you think Mr. Trump’s tweets are nothing but thin-skinned reflex, you’re missing a great show. Historians and trained persuaders will be analyzing his extraordinary Twitter game for hundreds of years, wondering how much of it was based on training and how much was pure instinct.

Did you catch me making you think past the sale just then?”

Tuesday Bullets

Lots of bullets flying around D.C. these days. Some of then actually hit targets and some unfortunately strike those that are innocent bystanders. There are so many weekend bullets in the air of late why don’t we make “Tuesday Bullets” a feature here? It will give us all a chance to hear about what bullets we missed during our busy weekend while giving us some detail about shooters and victims in the cases that we heard about but don’t have facts. Here is our first “Tuesday Bullets” offering. Enjoy!

Uranium One

Here we go again. “Russia, Russia, Russia,” now does not refer to the collusion investigation of the Trump Campaign but has turned to those affiliated with the Clintons and THEIR ties to Russian government officials — including Vladimir Putin. How ironic! Put all this in perspective from the “official” Clinton explanation:

  • It is simply a coincidence that the owners of the Canadian company that brokered the purchase of 20% of U.S. uranium supplies ended up owned by a Russian company controlled by the Kremlin;
  • That each of the members of that Canadian company board of directors donated hundreds of thousand of dollars to the Clinton Foundation during this uranium process (none had ever donated to the Clinton Foundation before nor since);
  • That approximately $140 million (so far) in contributions from Russian oligarchs and Russian corporate leaders was donated to the Clinton Foundation; that Bill Clinton spoke in Moscow to a bank tied to the Uranium One Company and was paid twice his normal speaking fee, also during the time of this transaction;
  • That a 9-person committee had to agree to allow a foreign company to purchase U.S. uranium assets unanimously agreed to this deal. That committee included Sec. of State Hillary Clinton and Attorney General Eric Holder;
  • That a massive FBI investigation was underway into those Russians involved in this transaction at the time of the committee’s approval that A.G. Holder had knowledge of. He just “forgot” to share the investigation and its details with that committee’s members before their vote;
  • That today’s Special Counsel Robert Mueller was FBI Director at the time and is now heading the Russian collusion investigation which is deemed to NOT be a conflict of interest;
  • Rod Rosenstein — current acting Attorney General — was the lead Justice Department attorney investigating the massive bribery by the Russians unearthed at the time.
  • In an interview with Hillary Clinton about this matter yesterday, she categorically denied any wrong doing, any conflicts of interest, any involvement by her husband, her campaign, and herself. She concurred that ALL of these were simple coincidence.

These were obviously NOT coincidences. These were NOT flying under the radar screen either. In 2015, in fact, the NY Times reported about the investigation that would have initiated World War III in D.C. “IF” a Republican had been President. Who was President? Barack Obama, who had the entire matter quietly put on the bottom shelf……until yesterday.

NFL Players Oops!

(I posted this today on my Facebook page.)

“I’ll bet that NFL players who are protesting have given no thought to the financial implications of their actions for them and their fellow NFL players. How so?

  • Notice the attendance at NFL games Sunday? Significantly reduced. The financial impact of that for players? In the CBA, players now receive approximately 53% of NFL team revenues — ALL revenues. That results primarily in player salaries.
  • Seats are empty, day-of-game ticket sales have plummeted, concessions, merchandise, and other stadium revenues have fallen too.
  • But the big one? Television rights money: $2.5 Billion this year alone. Those broadcast contracts have “ratings guarantees.” Viewer ratings are WAY down, which means sponsors are not spending like always and Network payments to the NFL will be proportionately reduced.
  • How much will this cost players? I don’t have exact details, but extrapolating I am guessing about $75 million per team for the season, which means $39 million average per team’s players. A 53 man roster size means an average of $735,849 per player less in 2017 than in 2016.
  • You think those guys on their knees have thought about that? Surely they have and feel comfortable that their “cause” is worth those compensation losses to them and their compadres. Wait a minute: what is their “cause” again?”

Congresswoman Frederica Wilson

Everyone now knows who she is and has heard her on every Leftist news outlet for almost a week now. There are quite a few “coincidences” wrapped up in her latest quest for exposure. Let’s look in:

  • By coincidence Wilson just happened to be in the car with Gold Star widow Myesha Johnson when President Trump called to give her and her family his condolences for the death of her husband LaDavid Johnson in Niger along with three other Marines in a surprise attack.
  • Coincidentally that Presidential condolence call to the widow was taken in her car on a speaker that the Congresswoman coincidentally listened in on.
  • It was a coincidence that CNN called to check-in with the Gold Star widow to make sure she was OK and a coincidence in that call Myesha mentioned Congresswoman Wilson was on the call.
  • Coincidentally Wilson was available for a detailed CNN interview the very next day in which she shared her chagrin and horror at the content of the President’s condolence message in the call AND the nasty tone of his voice.
  • It was coincidence that Frederica was horrified for the President to tell the widow that her husband knew what he was getting into when he entered the military. How could any President be so callous!

Far too many coincidences for me to swallow as being coincidences. The Congresswoman has spent much time in interviews and social media posts keeping the phone call and her attacks on the President alive. However, she has been confronted by several who have very kindly pointed out how inappropriate was her involving herself in such an intensely personal family horror that the Johnson family is dealing with. However her doing so has simply been water of a duck’s back to her — it matters not. I have my OWN thoughts about the intentions of the self proclaimed “Rock Star:”

  • The Leftist media was far too available and far too quick to put Wilson on air to blast the President;
  • I don’t know but am fairly certain the Congresswoman had purpose for being in that car and listening to the President on speaker;
  • She had previously shown her intense disdain for Donald Trump. This media circus gave her another opportunity to put a feather in her Liberal cowboy hat with her party by attacking the President again on the back of a Gold Star widow;
  • “If” she planned on being in the car and “if” she planned on trapping the President using his own words, why didn’t she record the condolence call? Certainly she knew her allegations against the President would be questioned as to their authenticity. Answer: she did not want the World to hear the call for fear of his not saying what she for her political purposes wanted him to say;
  • Why did she blast the President for in his condolences say that LaDavid Johnson knew full well what was potentially ahead for him if he took the Marine Oath of Office — especially in light of the fact she had said almost the same thing herself in a speech in 2015;

Congresswoman Frederica Wilson speaking at the 2015 tribute to two fallen Miami FBI agents:

“Most men and women in law enforcement leave their homes knowing there is a possibility they may not return,” Wilson explained. “I know that Agents Grogan and Dove knew about [Miami’s] violence when they said goodbye to their families, picked up their badges and their guns, and left home on the morning of April 11, 1986,” Wilson continued. “Yet, they still answered the charge to protect their community.”

Summary

There are many bullets in the air in Washington today. The weather forecast for D.C. today is “cloudy with a 100% probably of thunderstorms, heavy rains, and flooding.” It’s bad and getting worse.

In all of this, Americans are owed the truth. Try through all the noise and distractions to keep an open mind, investigate using sources you can find, and think on your own. The Hypocrats are so accustomed to Americans robotically accepting everything they put out as fact they are still serving up their garbage through their Media mindbots as Truth. It ain’t!

Stay close to dnewman.org. Everyday you will be getting tidbits of facts that will always be presented in the exact format they are found through research: rumor, hypothesis, or fact. None will ever be clouded in anything other than their truth.

Oh, and please share these with your friends. Feel free to “select all,” then “copy and paste” any or all of these posts on your Facebook page so your friends can see another perspective and weigh in where they like.

Distractions

Do you think maybe daily distractions may be a tool of the Left?

Think about it. It may be easier to answer THAT question by asking this one: just what wonderful things have happened in D.C. since the inauguration of Donald Trump? You can probably name a thing or two: Neil Gorsuch confirmed as Supreme Court Justice, the recent passage by the Senate of a Budget framework to name a couple. But the list of D.C. achievements is pretty slim — or so it seems to be to many Americans. Bingo! Leftists have commandeered the narrative of Trump Administration accomplishments with distractions that are fed to the Leftist media who keep us pre-occupied. In working through those distractions we fail to see and appreciate the good things that are going on. Before we look at the positive results of some of the Trump Administration actions, let’s look at the actual distractions perpetrated by the Left:

  1. Let’s start with today’s: President Trump’s call to the Widow with condolences for her husband’s death in Niger. Congresswoman Wilson (D-FL) took a private, emotional moment in which she listened in to the President’s call and made it political. The Leftist media picked up on that and has spent a week doing nothing but putting forth and discussing ad nauseum how insensitive the President was. Why? Wilson took one line from the call to denigrate the President and has fed the Leftist narrative all week long, even proclaiming herself “A Rock Star;”
  2. The old standby: “Russia, Russia, Russia.” It’s too tired for most Americans to care about — it’s been a year since it started and STILL, NO Russia collusion with the Trump Campaign. And STILL the Media cry against Trump for Russian collusion;
  3.  Russian collusion: Hillary Clinton. This week the darling of the media who lately captures as much camera time as the President once again in interviews in the UK blamed her election loss on the Russians AND now Fox News;
  4. Chuck Schumer and Elizabeth Warren and other Democrats screaming about the Trump tax plan, and the Media is blanketing front page headlines not about the plan, but about their rebuttals. What are they saying? It will cripple the middle class while filling the pockets of the rich — what they always say about tax cuts. Nobody in the Leftist media has discussed the details of the plan which shows the plan is anything BUT crippling to the middle class;
  5. And media distraction is everywhere. Examples? CNN headline today: “Trump, “King of Debt,” makes GOP fret;”MSNBC headline today: Al Sharpton — “Trump Insecure About Not Measuring up to Obama.” (No need to comment) also this headline: Chris Hayes — “General John Kelly is not the Adult in the Room;”
  6. Dial back a few weeks to the Puerto Rico disaster and a loud San Juan mayor. U.S. media went crazy with glee filling every broadcast minute possible for days with her on camera telling the world how evil President Trump is;
  7. Then there was John McCain casting the deciding vote to kill the “Skinny Obamacare” repeal. For days Leftist media outlets took that and shouted constantly to the mountaintops the GOP is splitting at the seams, McCain hates Trump/Trump hates McCain, and on and on;
  8. Let’s don’t forget about the famous speech in which the President said NFL owners should fire players who kneel during the National Anthem. Leftists in media AND government spent days interviewing players, coaches, NFL execs — anyone who would speak into a microphone in support of the players to attack the President. (Never saw any interviews with Middle Americans);

All of these were nothing but distractions — ways to keep the attention of Americans away from anything positive that has happened recently in our government and in the Nation.

So what good HAS happened?

  1. The greatest tax cuts for Americans to ever pass the U.S. Senate passed along party lines last week and are headed back to the House. Those cuts will drastically reduce taxes on all Americans in spite of what Democrats claim. They will also reduce corporate taxes which will take the U.S. from top of the heap as the country on Earth charging the highest corporate tax rates;
  2. Unemployment in the nation is now at its lowest level in decades;
  3. The labor participation rate is at its highest level since the 70’s. That means people are simply going back to work, which means welfare and unemployment government subsidies have declined for the first time in more than a decade;
  4. The stock market: record highs almost every day. $5 Trillion of new wealth has been created through the stock market since the inauguration. “But that only benefits the rich — the rich get richer!” the Leftists cry. Last I knew, my IRA investments are in the stock market as are my 401K investments. My portfolio has taken a dramatic jump from the Obama days thanks to the stock market. I’m sure the wealthy who invest got wealthier, but so did the janitor in my building the same way the rich did. Isn’t that good for everyone?
  5. Jobs, jobs, jobs. The President’s roll backs of onerous regulations has immediately jump started the coal industry again which is putting tens of thousands of miners back to work. U.S. companies who fled the nation because of better tax treatment overseas are announcing almost weekly moves back into the U.S. in anticipation of better financial and tax treatment;
  6. Oil and natural gas production are full speed ahead which is causing fuel costs to drop and adding jobs. For the first time in almost ever the U.S. is exporting more oil than it is importing;
  7. ISIS is REALLY on the run. Iraqi forces with U.S. military assistance captured Raqqa — the capital city of ISIS. They are systematically being squeezed out of territory they have taken;
  8. U.S. relationships with foreign countries are steadily improving. Why? For the first time in almost a decade the U.S. has a President who is honest with foreign leaders and communicates U.S. foreign policy that even though may not be receiving universal acclaim make every country comfortable that if/when this President sets a redline he will abide by it and will make all other countries do the same;
  9. For the first time in decades North Korea’s tyrannical dictators have been put on notice regarding nuclear proliferation that is meaningful. Kim Jung-un obviously does not like President Trump, but he gets the message from D.C. and appears to be walking back some of his bullying that has held previous Presidents at bay. Asian leaders — especially leaders of Japan, South Korea, the Philippines and others — are breathing easier knowing that the U.S. is leaving a military option on the table to use only if necessary;
  10. There’s some truth being pushed out that during the Obama Administration had been hidden. It was recalled this week that the NY Times in 2015 broke a story about the scandal of the sale of 20% of America’s uranium to the Russians through the Uranium One deal and the millions of dollars in contributions to the Clinton Foundation in response — WHILE Hillary was Secretary of State. 2015: Obama as President, media in the tank for his administration — NOTHING…until this week the Senate Intelligence Committee launched an investigation into it, and still nothing from the Leftist Media. Think any of this would have come out and be investigated if HRC was President?

Summary

Just imagine how much more this President might have accomplished in his first 10 months if members of Congress would have helped in these tremendous gains. How better could it have been if members of his own Party had simply been honest to voters and joined the President? Instead, even some members of the “Swamp GOP” are now afraid of their former power getting snatched away as more and more Americans are seeing what this President is “doing” and not like previous Presidents who have simply “talked about doing.” GOP Swampers continue their resistance — but not for long.

Regarding this crazy Media: they have been hugely successful in doing just one thing and one thing only — broadening the already great divide in this Nation. Sadly they have done so not with the tools of their trade that they received from the previous generation of journalists who used those tools only in the manner of journalistic honesty and integrity since its beginnings. Today’s journalists on the most part are little more than gossip birthers and distributors. And sadly they have achieved their objective of driving hate, anger, and divisiveness into the hearts of a large segment of the country.

However, Americans are awakening. Remember that adage: “give them enough rope and they’ll hang themselves?” Americans are wising up to the daily machine gun lies appearing in print and broadcast news. Polls show that more Americans than ever before believe the Media actually make up bad stories to hurt this President. It’s one thing to make up all the stories and pump them out every day. It’s another thing for Americans to finally see and understand the truth: the Media is NOT honest.

But even more important than that: more and more Americans are being forced by FACTS to accept that this President really IS getting good things done. The above list of 9 is just a sampling. The sleeping American giant — the Public — is awakening to the decades old Media lunacy and elitism and now get it. The Media are petrified that in 2018 and even in 2020, it will not be “fly-over” Americans who break from tradition to surprisingly elect Donald Trump as President over Hillary Clinton. In the mid-terms and the General election in 2020, you are going to see “Swamp Legislators” from both parties sent home –some in dramatic and unexpected defeat — as Americans say “Enough is enough,” and drain the Swamp. Daily more and more Americans are donning that hat: “MAGA.”

Have We No Shame?

Let the politicization of EVERYTHING in America continue!

Frederica Wilson — Florida Democratic Congresswoman — who claims Trump told the grieving widow of a soldier killed in Niger “I’m sure he knew what he was signed up for, but when it happens, it hurts anyway,” went deeper into her charges against the President: “This gentleman has a brain disorder and he needs to be checked out,” Wilson said of Trump on CNN. Wilson claimed she has proof of what Trump said, explaining she was one of several people in the vehicle who heard a portion of the call. ‘“This man is a sick man; he’s cold hearted and feels no sympathy or pity for anyone. This is a young woman, 10 months pregnant… she has two other kids. And when she hung up the phone she looked at me and said, ‘He didn’t even know his name’.”

Understand this: four young men serving as Green Baret in Niger were ambushed by terrorists and killed. The heartaches for those men’s families began that day and will never end. As often happens, the President called to give condolences to the widow of one of those soldiers. The Congresswoman mentioned above listened-in on the call and then went to CNN to blast what President Trump allegedly said to the widow during the call. By many accounts — including that of General John Kelly who now serves as Chief of Staff for the President — Ms. Wilson grossly misrepresented what President Trump said to the woman and certainly misrepresented the context and tone of his call.

The purported misrepresentation of what he said is NOT so much a travesty as is the fact that a Congresswoman took political advantage of the most horrible situation any family member can face — the death of a loved one in combat — to make her continued political charges against the President.

Have we no shame?

Unfortunately, the politicization of EVERYTHING in America occurs daily, continues to grow in number and intensity, and is quickly becoming an expected process in America. In doing so, the American news organizations have morphed into creating tabloid grocery store rags that reek of gossip at the lowest level while purporting to be real news. Their methodology of operations is to be as loud and ridiculous to attract attention. The truth is no longer even secondary. Growing viewers and readers are all that matter. The cost of their yellow journalism to people they interface with is no matter. Their motto? “Never let the truth or integrity or care for those included in a story affect what they NEED to report.” The story is worth any expense the media must pay — or so they say.

Politicization

General Kelly called the White House press corps together specifically to discuss what the Congresswoman did and to explain President Trump’s phone call to the widow. Kelly heard the entire call. He was floored by the remarks and allegations made by Wilson on CNN but moreso by the fact that anyone would invade one of the most intensely personal moments in any person’s life — coming to grips with the death of a loved one in a military incident. And then to politicize for any reason at all is unconscionable.

General Kelly’s remarks were halted and emotional at times. Several times Kelly had to stop speaking to choke back tears. He himself a Gold Star parent — he lost his son in battle several years ago — was in disbelief that anyone like the Congresswoman could take such a tragic and intensely personal travesty and turn it into a political opportunity for herself. But the Congresswoman was not alone. Here was the Washington Post headline after the White House briefing:

The White House’s ‘highly inappropriate’ response to a fact-check reveals an authoritarian mindset

Not to be outdone, Hillary Clinton’s former campaign spokesman called retired Gen. John Kelly “odious” on Thursday after the White House chief of staff and Gold Star father spoke about President Trump’s decision to call the families of four soldiers killed in Niger earlier this month. “Don’t be distracted by the uniform,” Brian Fallon, a CNN contributor and past communications director for Clinton’s campaign, wrote on Twitter following Kelly’s remarks. “Kelly isn’t just an enabler of Trump. He’s a believer in him. That makes him as odious as the rest,” wrote Fallon, who is also an adviser to the Democratic political action committee, Priorities PAC.

Have we no shame?

Summary

I have only one thing to say: “STOP IT!” It simply is time for Americans to push the “pause” button on responses to others around them and re-evaluate what they say and how they say the things they do to. Life is simply not primarily about us — or it shouldn’t be. Me-ism is destroying America. It is the consuming power on which the Left is driven as is the Media. Somehow for some reason politicians and members of the Leftist Media believe that no story is complete without injecting their lives and their opinions into it. Making all they do, see, and hear about them rather than just being about the circumstances they face proves that morality, self-deprecation, self-denial, and putting others first is no longer needed and are a waste. Putting others first is dead. John F. Kennedy famously instructed Americans to “Ask not what your Country can do for you, but ask what you can do for your Country.” Boy, did this generation of politicians and media reject that.

Let’s just be quiet and respectful for others — especially those who have or will in the next days bury their dead sons and husbands and fathers killed serving the Nation. Then let’s talk TO each other and stop talking AT each other. Let’s face it: it is impossible for anyone to know someone else without spending time with that person. Until you know me there is no way you can make a educated decision about what type person I am. The same is true the other way around.

When someone accidentally drops an egg and it breaks, let’s let it be that and nothing more: no one hated the egg and threw it; there was no conspiracy among hens to lay a broken egg; the farmer did not get angry at the chickens and start killing them quietly. STUFF HAPPENS. Not always are those things the direct results of other things we have done or haven’t done.

Let’s sit down and rest for a few minutes. If/when anyone finds a pure negative person with a huge chip on their shoulder, let’s not spend every waking moment trying to knock that chip off.

And PLEASE: let’s continue to give Gold Star families some space, trust, and support for their tragedy. Their life is tough enough without others piling on. Let’s keep it clean and do it together.

Have we no shame?

Safe at Last

I took down my Rebel flag (which you can’t buy on EBAY any more) and peeled the NRA sticker off my front window.
I disconnected my home alarm system and quit the Neighborhood Watch.
I bought two Pakistani flags and put one at each corner of the front yard.
Then I purchased the black flag of ISIS (which you CAN Buy on EBAY) and ran it up the flag pole.

Now the local police, sheriff, FBI, CIA, NSA, Homeland Security, Secret Service and other agencies are all watching my house 24/7.
I’ve NEVER felt safer and I’m saving $69.95 a month that ADT used to charge me.

Plus, I bought burkas to wear when I shop or travel.
Everyone moves out of the way, and security can’t pat me down.
If they say I’m a male wearing a burka, I just say I’m feeling like a woman today.

(Editor) Ridiculous, I know. But even as ridiculous as it seems, isn’t it pretty much appropriate in today’s politically correct World?
